APPA Scotland is a small social enterprise company operating out of Glasgow. Though only small, our aims are big. Our focus is to enable schools to measure and improve the well-being of their students.
APPA Scotland may be a small company but it has worked with large organisations, government funding bodies and has sparked interest in a number of universities in the US and UK. Our unique approach, using an avatar to assess the well-being of young people, and the reports created have been tested and trialled in a number of schools.
The assessment has been developed in conjunction with Dr Michael Ungar in, Aberdeen Educational Psychologists and Dr Julienne McGeough at Liverpool Hope Psychology Department. We currently have trials for an American based assessment in the US with the University of Missouri. APPA Scotland is also working with Innovate UK which has funded a further phase of the app. This large grant has allowed us to work with Liverpool Hope Computer Science department to further improve the capability of the assessment.
APPA Scotland maintains all data within the UK and manages data in line with GDPR. We are signatories to the 5 Rights foundation. Ensuring that young people remain safe while they thrive.
